Job Opening: Quality Control Inspector
Description
QC Inspector will be responsible to conduct inspections, aid in implementing a rigid quality system, maintain proper documentation, reports and keep a reliable paper trail in support of manufacturing and in conformance with customer requirements within a FAA 145 Repair Station. Also, investigates product quality problems and recommends changes or improvements.
JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Perform and document inspections on product and processes including inspection of seats, Monuments and components as they are being repaired
2. Perform receiving inspection of raw materials, parts and components
3. Ability to inspect First article to AS 9102
4. Prepare in-process inspection report ensuring completeness and accuracy
5. Maintain Quality documentation
6. Identify serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling
7. Utilize inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, bond meter etc)
8. Utilize various measuring devices and gauges
9. Read and interpret part documentation including blue prints
10. Proficient with PC, manufacturing software and be able to utilize the Internet as well as be familiar with MS office
- Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably within aerospace or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of FAA 145 Repair Station requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to use a variety of inspection tools and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
