Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 DOE
Hours: 8AM – 5PM
Monday to Friday
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team, providing critical support in case management, trial preparation, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in discovery processes and be fluent in both English and Spanish to serve our diverse client base effectively. For the right candidate, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote flexibility with on-site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Conduct and manage discovery processes, including drafting interrogatories, requests for production, and organizing responses to prepare cases for trial.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel in both English and Spanish to schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- Perform legal research and gather relevant case information as needed.
- Coordinate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals to obtain necessary evidence for bodily injury cases.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other materials to support attorneys during litigation.
- Manage deadlines and court filings to ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
- Provide administrative support, including calendaring, billing, and document management.
Work Arrangement: This position is primarily on-site at our Westlake office to facilitate collaboration with our legal team and clients. However, for the right candidate with proven experience and self-discipline, we offer a hybrid work model, allowing a mix of remote and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with specific experience in discovery processes for trial preparation (required).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is a hard requirement.
- Knowledge of bodily injury law and related legal procedures is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in legal software (e.g., case management systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is a plus, but not required with sufficient experience.
