Job Opening: Material Production Planner
Description
Material Production Planner needed to join a local company that has become a market leading chemical services company for many industries including Metal Manufacturing/Surface Finishing, Electronics/Semi-Conductor, Food & Beverage/Nutritional, Personal Care, Industrial and Municipal/Industrial Water treatment. The Material & Production Planner will work with the Operations Manager and ensure all required objectives are met daily and on a professional level.
Material & Production Planner Duties:
Enhance workflow by monitoring and establishing new processes, maintaining control points, implementing cost reductions, and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Completes product plans by scheduling manufactured items, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, and reporting results of the progress flow.
Ensure efficient product scheduling to maintain correct inventories.
Work closely with Customer Service to ensure customer service satisfaction.
Monitor production performance and statues to ensure the goods arrive on time, in the event of a problem, trace shipments and follow up on undelivered goods.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the department’s operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Determine optimal inventory levels for multiple facilities
Plan and schedule finished goods/ materials to meet production and sales requirements as needed
Contribute to the development of inventory plans and manage performance to plan and targets
Assist with Inventory and management of excess and obsolete inventory
Analyze sales and usage history to identify trends which might impact purchasing requirements
Work with the Inventory Department to monitor shelf-life of all products
Adhere to all S.O.P.’s, Work Instructions, and Daily Check-lists are being followed.
Hours: 8 am – 5 pm
Location: Arleta
Pay $26- can vary on experience

- Computer literate, including ability to use Excel, Word, and Windows at an intermediate level
- 4-year college degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
