Position Summary:
Supports distribution department with payment of freight bills. Prepares for payment: pallet bills and warehouse bills for storage, returns and miscellaneous charges incurred by all warehouses shipping. Maintains portfolio for rental pallets (Chep portfolio).
Position Responsibilities:
• Sorts Distribution mail. Retains mail needed for this position and sends remainder to Distribution office.
• Prepares mail for all distribution payables and submits for approval.
• Maintains log entry for forklift charges, warehouse and miscellaneous bills. Attaches signature copies to bills for proof of receipt of services or merchandise.
• Reviews payables for correct charges being billed.
• Enters freight payables in computer system and verify all entries
• Researches all problem bills and make corrections to submit for payment.
• Keep carrier’s insurance certificates current.
• Takes vendor A/R calls and consults A/P for bills paid.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Requirements:
• 1 – 2 years office experience in similar capacity. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Basic computer skills to include competency in use of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• 10-Key by touch
• Good verbal and written communications skills in English; able with customers in a professional, courteous manner by phone.
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent

• Those normally associated with an office environment.
