Job Description:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
– Process and verify invoices and check requests
– Set invoices up for payment
– Track expenses and process expense reports
– Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
– Reconcile accounts payable transactions
– Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
– Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
– Maintain vendor files
– Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
– Assist with month-end closing
Qualifications:
– Proven accounts payable experience (5+ years recent experience required)
– Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
– Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
– Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
– Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
– Proficiency in English and in MS Office
– High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
– Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Reliable and able to work independently
– Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
