Tote Sorter Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Sort and organize totes or bins by destination or order type
- Verify that totes are properly labeled and contain the correct items
- Load and unload totes from conveyors or other warehouse systems
- Ensure totes are routed to the appropriate department or area
- Maintain a clean and orderly sorting area
- Inspect totes for damage and report any discrepancies
- Assist with the movement of totes throughout the warehouse as needed
- Follow safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques
- Support overall warehouse operations by assisting with other tasks, such as packing, shipping, or inventory control, as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift and move heavy totes (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and conveyor systems is a plus
- Basic math and counting skills for verifying tote contents

Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 months recent industrial or warehouse experience a plus
- Able to work 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts
- Able to move boxes, totes and products and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand up and bend for entire shift
- Able to count accurately
- Experience working with technology – RF scanners, warehouse computers
- Able to follow written and verbal work instructions
