Job Opening: Production Assistant

Essential Functions Overview

• Perform all job functions safely.

• Must regularly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs

• Regularly exposed to a noisy, wet, and temperature fluctuating environment (indoors or outdoors

• Work in and around moving machinery, tanks, moving vehicles.

• Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toed shoes, mechanic gloves, chemical or nitrile gloves when handling raw ingredients, bump cap or hard hat, hair net, and beard net (if applicable).

Duties include:

• Perform all responsibilities in compliance with safety, sanitation, quality and housekeeping rules.

• Clean machinery to maintain optimum machine performance. This may include using tools to: scrape, wipe, sweep, squeegee and/or changing filters.

• Loading equipment with raw ingredient totes or drums.

• Moving and dumping garbage and recycling containers.

• Carrying buckets for hand adds up and down stairs.

• Connect and disconnect hoses and fittings.

• Open and close tanks, containers and materials, etc. • Climb stairs and/or ladders for access to necessary ports. • Collect samples for QC and deliver to lab for results. • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDocP), document all actions appropriately on batch records, logs and conducting proper and compliant transactions in SAP. • Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), perform tasks per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and follow general housekeeping guidelines and rules for Food Safety Regulations. Keep area updated with 5S. • Operating forklift / other lift equipment • Performs other duties as assigned.
