Threadroll Machine Operator
City of Industry, CA
1st Shift
Operator will set up and operate various threadroll machines for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies:
- Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing work orders to plan the setup and operation of threadroll machines.
- Set up and operate various threadroll machines on a production basis, including making necessary settings and adjustments to produce parts to specifications.
- Select, mount, and align tooling attachments and materials in the proper order and relationship.
- Start and stop machines, feed materials, and monitor for imperfect operation.
- Utilize a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspections before, during, and after production runs.
- Rework and direct the reworking of tools as needed.
- Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks per specifications and act according to data output.
- Meet and maintain productivity levels and quality requirements in support of departmental standards, goals, and schedules.
- Perform record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follow safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in operating threadroll machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring and gauging tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to perform SPC checks and act on data output.
- Good record-keeping and data entry skills.
- Adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
