Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator Temp will support transportation service activities to ensure delivered orders and stock transfer orders are tendered, tracked, and reported. Interface and collaborate with sales team members, order desk, brokers, and direct customers. Provides management of transportation in a timely and cost-effective manner. Provides and analyzes transportation service reporting to management and
other key stakeholders with required frequency.
Pay Rate: $24-$30 per hour.
Shift: Day Shift
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
Business Management
• Supports most cost-effective mode of transportation and coordinates all delivered shipment of finished goods to customers and outside warehouses ensuring on time and in full delivery as per customer requirements
• Able to input freight information into customer portals for customer engagement in arranging carriers
• Track shipments on Daily Transportation tracker
• Arranges and tracks return freight as needed
• Verifies, approves and processes freight invoices for payment
• Maintains comprehensive files on customer delivery and routing requirements
• Participates in Logistics projects by managing new initiatives as they arise
• Works with other departments in problem solving
• Developing SOP’s for continual improvements of current logistics processes
• Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned by Management
Logistics Coordinator Requirements:
• 2 years of related experience in shipping and logistics
• Ability to efficiently solve problems relating to sales, finance and transportation of goods in locations both national and overseas.
• Strong working knowledge of PCs with Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SAP, DOMO, TMS
• Continuous improvement mentality to drive positive change.
