Pay rate: $25-$30
Workdays: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sat
HR Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
Compliance:
• Understand the Collective Bargaining Agreement and guide management in application and adherence to contract provisions. This includes but is not limited to time off procedures, attendance tracking, seniority, posting procedures, and recalls/layoffs.
• Understand Company policies and guide management in the application and adherence to the provisions.
• Understands Federal and State wage and hour laws and Federal and State leave laws.
Staffing:
• Place job vacancies in TAM, radio ads, and internal job boards. Interview, evaluate and recommend qualified applicants to hiring manager.
• Onboard new hires. E-Verify, coordinate pre-employment drug screens, data entry into ADP and S2 systems. Create job badge.
• Build candidate pool through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, events etc.
• Manage internal job bidding (transfer) process per CBA.
• Conduct new hire benefits orientation.
• Work with staffing agencies to secure temporary staff if required. Ensure paperwork is complete and data entered into ADP and S2 systems.
Benefits:
• Track and monitor employee eligibility for benefits. Assist with open enrollment meetings. Enter benefit elections into ADP system.
• Assist with administering mandated leaves of absence (COVID-19, FMLA/CFRA, PDL, ADA, WC). Explain leave laws/regulations and benefits to employees and provide applicable leave information and forms.
HR Coordinator Requirements:
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Knowledge of Wage and Hour laws and leave laws (FMLA/CFRA, PDL, ADA) are required.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience working with ADP’s HRIS platform a plus.
• Experience working in a Union environment a plus.
• Bi literate in English and Spanish required.
