Job Opening: Maintenance Mechanic

We have a Direct Hire opening for a Maintenance Mechanic in Richmond at a commercial bakery that specializes in sourdough and artisan breads. This is a 1^st shift opening!

In this role, troubleshoot and repair all of the equipment and plant systems at this large-scale commercial bakery.  

Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client’s payroll from Day 1!

Pay and Shift Information:

• Pay: $72k-$90k/annually
• 1^st shift: 3 am or 4 am start time with 8 hour to 10 hour days depending on the weekly schedule

Job Duties of the Maintenance Mechanic:

• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment and machinery: Mixers, flour delivery systems, low pressure boilers, molders and makeup equipment, and packaging equipment
• Perform mechanical repairs on gears, sprockets, gear boxes, and motors
• Conduct light hydraulics repairs and light tasks related to fabrication and welding
• Maintain and repair electrical equipment, machines, and systems
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, specifically 3 phase motors
• Have basic knowledge of relay logic and troubleshoot PLCs
• Troubleshoot electrical systems in DC (from 12 volt to 100 volt)
• Troubleshoot electrical systems in AC (from 24 volt to 480 volt 3 phase motors)
• Troubleshoot control panels
• Assist with general building maintenance tasks as needed
• This role has the potential for advancement to the role of Chief Engineer within 5 years
