Forklift Operator/Material Handler

This is a one month temporary position working outdoors. 

Pay Rate:   $23.70/hr.

Schedule: 6am-2pm, Monday-Friday, 1 month duration

Job description is: 

First operation – disposing of material

• Open plastic wrapped bundles of roofing shingles utilizing a scrapper / putty knife
• Team lift bundle or individual lift a few shingles at a time and place in dumpster
• Dispose of plastic wrap in separate dumpster

Forklift operation

• Pick up and move a 4×4 pallet of roofing shingles
• Dump garbage into large dumpsters
• Not every candidate needs to operate

Next operation

• Open plastic wrapped bundles of roofing shingles utilizing a scrapper / putty knife
• Inspect shingle and keep or discard based on training
• Restack good shingles and discard bad shingles
• Dispose of the plastic wrap

Requirements:

– ability to lift up to 50lbs

– previous sit down forklift experience

– ability to work in outdoor conditions 

Work will be done partially outside and undercover. PPE and rain jacket will be provided.
