Job Opening: Sanitation Lead
Description
Santa Maria cold storage facility is looking for a Sanitation Lead.
The Sanitation Lead is responsible for coordinating/scheduling every day tasks to a group of up to 10 sanitation technicians.
The Sanitation Lead work alongside and with the team to ensure that cleanliness of the facility meets the food safety standards.
The Sanitation Lead provides guidance and coaching to workers on the team.
Oversees and performs standard sanitation practices: removing waste and debris both inside and out of facility premises.
Sanitizes equipment, floors, and walls after production team has left the facility.
Cleans and sanitizes tools and supplies.
Coaches employees to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
Communicates with other department to ensure sanitation schedule will meet deadlines based on the amount of production that occurs.
Responsible for following SOPs, GMPs and all other policies/practices.
Reports all food safety sanitation issues to the manager.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
Minimum of 2 years hands on Sanitation experience.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb stairs with heavy loads.
Ability to work on rotating schedule, as a lead you can start earlier than the rest of the team.
You can be scheduled to work on days when the rest of the team is not scheduled to work.
