Summary: TPM position is responsible to help manage the company’s trade promotion fund. Enables and supports TPM payment / Deduction resolution on various customers and / or broker accounts. Audits, validates, and follow up on open deductions / payments. Interacts with third party sales agents, internal sales personnel, field sales personnel and accounting personnel to perform job duties. Works well in a team environment. Essential Functions: 1. Audits and validates open deductions 2. Prepares deduction summary report and coordinates with Brokers, Regional Sales Managers, and Planning team for resolution 3. Offsets deductions – reassignments, returns, repayments, and cancellations 4. Evaluates open deductions, researches and work with brokers for resolution 5. Trains / instructs brokers on trade promotion program 6. Assist brokers with request / inquiry for backup documents / invoice reports 7. Investigates and solves deductions due to lack of funds or pricing issue 8. Processes AP check requests – verify and audit back – up 9. Maintains record of all payment / check requests and deductions 10. Review freight related backups / deductions and work with shipping / deduction specialist for resolution – shortages / overages / fines 11. Investigates and resolves deductions from customer for cash discount. Verifies claim with Sales Team, IT Team and PODs 12. Pursue repayment from customer when deductions are found invalid – via brokers / directly. 13. Follows up on repayments and aging deductions 14. Assists with deduction audits and trade promotion management related projects. 15. Prepares / scan check and / or back – up in share drive and provide scanned documents to brokers as needed 16. Assist with handling incoming phone calls 17. Work with manager for returned / cancelled AP checks Education / Experience: 1. 1 – 2 years as Admin Assistant – TPM 2. 6 – 12 months related experience in the accounting / grocery industry
