Job Opening: VP of Manufacturing

We have a direct hire opening for a VP of Manufacturing in Burlingame at a company that specializes in high-quality print production, digital printing, packaging design, and more.

In this key leadership role, oversee all aspects of operations, manage cross-functional teams, and identify growth opportunities that drive the company towards success.

Pay and Schedule Information:

• Pay: $140k-$180k/annually
• Schedule: This is a 1^st shift position

Job Duties of the VP of Manufacturing:

• Provide skillful and effective management in a matrix organization/dotted line reporting environment
• Implement safety and lean manufacturing programs to improve processes
• Direct and coordinate all functional departments
• Cultivate a culture focused on continuous improvement, client satisfaction, and employee growth
• Control expenses by monitoring metrics, establishing expenditure guidelines, and approving expenditures
• Prepare annual budgets in support of corporate directives and expansion goals
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency laws and directives
• Collaborate with sales team on customer issues
• Communicate goals to employees and work closely with project management, scheduling teams, and sales
• Ensure capacity plans and schedules support customer demand
• Oversee employee training, development, and equipment maintenance programs

 

 

Job Requirements of the VP of Manufacturing:

• 15 years of progressive experience in managing staff and resources
• Knowledge of commercial printing, paper converting, and packaging
• Proficiency in printing industry ERP system (PSI is a plus) and Microsoft Suite
• Print production expertise in one or more areas: Pre-Press, Press, Finishing, Bindery, Assembly, and Mailing
• Familiarity with Regulatory Body Compliance (ISO, SOC2, FSC) – to include certification, compliance, and audit
• B.S. in Print Management or Business preferred, or equivalent experience
