ResourceMFG has a great opportunity for a Mechanical Inspector within a machine shop in the city of Simi Valley, CA
Pay: $20 – $30 hr DOE
Hours: 7am – 3:30pm
Monday to Friday

Job Summary
Use measuring instruments and visual analysis to inspect precision parts in a CNC machine shop. Several types of inspections (both routine and special) are required, some within the inspection lab, and some at production work centers. Accuracy, efficiency, and correct documentation are critical. Senior inspectors have a level of skill and experience that allows them to quickly detect non-conformances, document them properly, and suggest corrective action. In addition, senior inspectors provide training and assistance to the less-experienced inspectors and machinists they work with.
- First Article Inspection (AS9102)
- In-Process / Sampling / AQL Inspection
- Setup Verification Inspection
- Receiving Inspection
- Final Inspection
- Special Inspection (sorting, segregating, investigating, etc)
- Preparation of inspection reports and certificate
- Assistance with establishing shop-floor inspection techniques
- Training junior inspectors as required

A senior inspector must consistently demonstrate good work habits, correct techniques, and a genuine commitment to quality
Position Specific Skills
- Ability to quickly detect nonconformances
- Ability to work efficiently and productively
- Strong math and blueprint reading skills
- Extensive experience with precision measuring instruments of all types
- Experience with open setups (surface plate inspection equipment)
- Personal emphasis on visual inspection
- Personal emphasis on shop-floor inspection and early detection
- Basic understanding of machining processes
- Ability to meet deadlines and request help when needed
