Position: Production Equipment Mechanic
Shift: 2nd Shift Must have open Availability
Payrate: Depending on experience.
Job Summary: The Class 2 Production Equipment Mechanic has primary responsibility to install, troubleshoot and repair production equipment as needed for efficient plant operations and/or as directed by a supervisor.
Responsibilities:
• Possess complete working knowledge to operate, diagnose, change over, repair and maintain all production related equipment in safe, efficient condition.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of all Company maintenance power and hand tools, including but not limited to MIG/TIG and arc welding, oxygen-acetylene torch, plasma cutter, lathe, drill press, cut off saws, and plumbing tools.
• Document hours and parts used in maintenance or repairs and utilize Parts Requisition Forms as necessary.
• Train others on mechanical procedures, practices and on new equipment as necessary.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement various solutions.
• Have all the qualifications and responsibilities of a Class 4 Mechanic.
• Possess fabrication skills and basic proficiency with electrical systems.
Production Equipment Mechanic Skills and Abilities:
• Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Able to think and work effectively under pressure & accurately complete tasks within established times and pay attention to detail.
• Able to work in a rapid-paced environment, to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
• Able to stand and/or sit in front of and operate a video display terminal for extended periods of time.
• Able to bend, lift and carry objects of varying size weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work in a warehouse/food-processing environment.
• Pass a background check, physical and drug screen.
