Job Opening: Product Quality Inspector
Description
General Overview
Under general supervision, performs product inspection and/or audits of quality assurance programs. May perform sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials and packaging line and manufacturing inspections. May inspect and test product manufactured or processed by suppliers to ensure conformance to requirements and specifications. Identifies material and processes as conforming or nonconforming. Writes simple reports of findings for review. Enters required data into system. Follows established procedures on routine work, minimal guidance on established procedures. Will receive instruction on new assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for understanding and use of hyperbaric, electrical, mechanical test fixtures, and procedures.

Maintaining verification of equipment working conditions and calibration requirements.

Notify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and router to the support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering).

Responsible for completing documentation (shop order and FATs) accurately and timely.

Responsible for entering data into the IFS system accurately and timely.

Set up pressure vessel equipment parameters for test using correct fixture for each part tested.
Education/Experience
-
High School Diploma and some degree of vocational technical training and a minimum of 2-5 years directly related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Recent experience in a manufacturing environment.

IPC-610 solder certified within the last 2 years preferred.

IPC 620 certification preferred.

Knowledge of crimped contacts.

Experienced with inspection of cables and connectors.

Competent with reading and interpreting drawings for correct wiring and connections.

Experience using a microscope, multimeter, calipers, height gages and miscellaneous electrical equipment.
