JOB DESCRIPTION The Material Handler I is responsible for providing support for all activities in receiving, production issues and managing inbound receipts, packing, and shipping. Ensures that inventory accuracy is sustained throughout daily activities. Will be required to demonstrate a positive attitude, be self-driven, and be an engaged team members Responsibilities: • Process receipts: Responsible for receiving incoming materials, parts, packages from various vendors and means of delivery. Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or supplier to rectify damages and shortages • Process sales orders: Pick product, allocate product, ship product accurately and efficiently • Pick/pull orders by obtaining material/products from designated warehouse locations • Uses Material Handling equipment as required to pick product, i.e., hand truck or motorized pallet truck or forklift. • Fills out proper paperwork and use of ERP software to indicate quantities received, issued, and shipped. Move orders to the appropriate staging areas. Performs all required warehouse transactions in company’s ERP system • Examines, sorts, arranges, counts, and packs items according to established procedures, requirements, and ISO standards • Forklift operations. • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment • Satisfactorily completes training requirements and operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site including, but not limited to, control of documents and quality process Requirements: • Functional knowledge of receiving, shipping, and inventory control procedures • Strong computer and communication skills • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs • Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
