Salary and Shift Information:

  • Salary: $73K to $85K/annually
  • 2nd shift will start at either 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm and end around 2:30 am; Mon-Sat with Sundays off and one more day off during the week 

Job Duties of the 2nd QA Supervisor:

  • Manage the HACCP Program and ensure its core principles are applied to every step in the process that adds value to the products.  
  • Share key information with staff through tailgate meetings, hands on training, to discuss the food safety programs and to address manufacturing problems caused by non-compliance to quality specifications
  • Assist in plant trials and new product launches to ensure quality standards are met
  • Responsible for assuring product quality meets established specifications
  • Ensure plant operations are in conformance with GMPs, comply with federal and state regulatory policies, and consistently are manufactured to meet or exceed customer standards
  • Present key ideas to management on process improvements that would enhance the quality and safety of products
  • Help create and implement QC processes/procedures for evaluating and receiving food components from suppliers
  • Help investigate customer complaint issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Responsible for training and development of all plant employees regarding policies, procedures, and GMPs
  • Directly oversee the work of QA Technicians, Sanitation workers, two Crew Leaders, and have indirect supervision over the distribution team
  • Create work schedules for QA and Sanitation staff, manage overtime, handle time off requests, ADP management, resolve disputes, conduct interviews, assist in hiring decisions, and safety/illness reports
  • Ensures that all product files are kept up to date on each product and programs

  • Proficiency with microbiological test methods is a plus (Experience in microbiology is a plus)

  • Identify, pull, and terminate wiring of all sizes
  • Wire in and set up soft start units
  • Troubleshoot AC motors and circuits such as 110v, 240v, 480v
  • Troubleshoot low voltage DC motors and circuits such as 6v, 12v, 24v, 36v, 48v, and 90v
  • Troubleshoot electrical alarm systems like security sensors, fire alarm, and ammonia detecting devices
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Ensure the wiring schematics in the system are up-to-date
