A new focus on safety was generated by a vertical safety committee. The committee addresses issues and creates an ongoing safety focus across the organization, providing a forum for communication across the chain of command. Communication was also enhanced by a renewed commitment to the Safety Concern Sheet. Issues now go to the new Safety Manager, who follows up. A new alignment across the entire team creates a safety culture.
