Select’s client has U.S. facilities in Minnesota, Indiana, California, and Massachusetts, the site of its world headquarters. Their products are designed for the fi elds of cardiology, neurology, urology, gynecology, and endoscopy, and include a wide variety of devices, from defi brillators, catheters, and stents to microelectronic implants that control chronic pain. The company wins awards in innovation, industry leadership, and global citizenship, as well as workplace leadership.

The partnership began in 2015. Select services the Arden Hills and Maple Grove facilities in Minnesota, staffi ng an average of 620-670 Associates over four shifts, with fi ve Staff Performance Managers (SPMs). The client is committed to a quality workforce—aside from its workplace leadership awards, it also provides ratings for Associates on an ABC scale—a level of effort rare amongst employers who utilize contingent workers. So when new local leadership at Select sought to improve Associate retention in a low-unemployment market through implementation of a new mentorship program, they were not surprised that the manufacturer was willing to get on board.
