Sunnyvale, Calif. – January 3, 2006 -- Citing “solid performance, flawless failover, exceptional scalability, and a jack of all trades,” the NetApp FAS3020c was named “Best NAS Solution of the Year” in InfoWorld’s 2006 Technology of the Year honors. The FAS3000 series delivers up to twice the price/performance and supports more users per system than previous generation FAS storage systems for greater storage architecture capability. Network Appliance Maintains Market Leadership in Network-Attached Storage and iSCSI Disk Storage Systems
Sunnyvale, Calif. - December 5, 2003 -- Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP) remains the worldwide leader in network-attached storage (NAS) with 37% market share in factory revenue and in terabytes shipped with 42.8% in the third quarter of 2003, according to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker. The company also is the world's number one provider of iSCSI disk storage systems with 49.5% of the market share in factory revenue and in terabytes shipped with 63.6% in the third quarter of 2003. The results validate that Network Appliance continues to broaden its overall market reach and execute a winning storage strategy that solves customer challenges in storage consolidation, business continuance, data protection, disaster recovery, and archive and reference needs.
IDC attributes the momentum in disk storage systems growth to customers' adoption of network storage. In Q3 2003, the analyst firm confirms network storage represents over 54% of the total external disk storage systems market, while traditional direct-attached storage represents 41% of the market, down from 46% a year ago.
